Alyshaan has always had a selection of contemporary rugs, but now we have reorganized the store so that you can see them in an organized section. We also received a shipment of contemporary rugs in December that are already wow-ing our clients. Come in and see for yourself.

Alyshaan Fine Rugs has just launched a new website which reflects Alyshaan’s true look and feel. Easy to navigate and designed with our clientele in mind, it showcases our product with simplicity and beauty. It also displays easy to find information which include all of our services and also a new media section which exhibits our ads in the top industry magazines.

The website will constantly evolve as we evolve and listen to feedback from our valued customers. Alyshaan has built its excellent reputation on incredibly friendly service and excellent rug knowledge. We can easily interact with our customers by email or through our social media pages on Facebook and Twitter. And the phone still works well too.

When designers are starting with a room where do they start first?

As one designer put it… “floor candy”, aka rugs

Area rugs and wall art are important design elements as they create the foundation for the room.  One you have chosen these pieces all the other elements of your room can easily fall into place, such as drapery, upholstery, and wall color.

You’ll first need to decide the size that is right for the room.  Then you can determine how much you want your furniture to cover the rug.  Formal setting should have the furniture placed on the rug, whereas informal settings can have furniture partially on and off the rug.  Also, there’s a new trend of rug layering, which can add interest and whimsy to a room

Once you have found the perfect rug, you should take a good quality photo of it and carry it with you while you purchase all the other elements of the room.

We know it’s not winter yet, but Alyshaan has experienced an avalanche… an avalanche of new rugs!  The stacks are so high, that we have to find room to make new stacks.

We finally have new contemporaries!  Plus, a large selection of transitional rugs as well as some new traditional rugs.   There literally is a rug for every taste.  Come in and take a look for yourself to see the wide and varied selection of incredible fine rugs.

This rug was digitally placed into the client’s new home, picked by his designer.  By virtually placing rugs, the client can decide (from a distance) which rugs he would like to see when he comes to visit this summer – thus narrowing down the choices.  This service is particularly practical for out of town clients whose home is outside the state or for those who spend a lot of time out of state.
