Every rug that enters our facility goes through the same careful, multi-stage process:

1. Inspection & Documentation — Each rug is inspected on arrival and its condition is documented—fiber content, knot count, dye type, existing damage, and areas requiring special attention.
2. Dust Extraction in Our Dedicated Dust Room — Most of what makes a rug look dirty is not stain—it is decades of fine dust embedded deep in the pile. We mechanically tap and air-flow the rug to remove embedded dry soil before any water touches it. Skipping this step is the single biggest mistake amateur cleaners make.
3. Color-Fastness Testing — Every rug is individually tested for color fastness before it touches water. We test each color in the design. If a rug has dyes that bleed, we know it before we wash it—and we adjust our process accordingly.
4. Deep Immersion Wash — Each rug is laid flat in our custom-built water pit, fully immersed, and hand-cleaned with solutions appropriate to its fiber and dye composition.
5. Centrifuge Spin — Your rug enters our $55,000 specialized rug centrifuge—a machine purpose-built to spin water out of fine rugs without damaging fibers or foundations. This is the difference between a rug that dries in a controlled day or two and one that stays damp for a week, growing mildew.
6. Slow, Controlled Drying — Rugs hang in our dedicated drying room on suspended pedestals with directed airflow from specialized fans. The combination ensures the rug dries evenly, fully, and without warping.
7. Final Inspection & Quality Check — Before your rug leaves our facility, it goes through a final inspection, grooming of the pile, fringe finishing if needed, and a quality check by a senior member of our team.
