When you drop by our area rugs store in Scottsdale, you’ll find there are thousands of options for you to choose from in stock (and that doesn’t even include special order and custom rugs!). To help our experts help you find the right rug, consider bringing these five things with you to our rug store:
- The measurements of the room where you want to place the rug. If you don’t know the dimensions of the room, use measuring tape to determine the length and width. This can help our staff determine what size is most appropriate for that space. Looking for fine rugs for multiple rooms? Write down the measurements of each room separately.
- Snap a photo of the room and bring it in with you. You can do this with a camera phone, but it would be especially helpful if you could print it out or email it to us in advance (plus you won’t have to temporarily relinquish your phone to share the image with us). If you’re working with multiple rooms, take a picture of each. Paired with the dimensions of the room, our rug experts will have a much better idea of what your needs are. Of course, when you email us a photo and decide you like a couple different rugs, we can digitally insert that rug into your photo so you’ll have an even better idea of what it will look like in your home!
- A list of colors, styles or patterns that interest you can also be very helpful to finding the right carpets & rugs, especially if the room you want to decorate currently has no other furniture or art in it right now. If you’ve just moved in or if you happen to have an empty room you want to start using, give us an idea of the look you’ll be going for and we can find a rug to match! Even if the space already has furniture and other decor, it can be helpful for us to know what kind of look you’ll be aiming for with the rug.
- If you have the time to do a little research beforehand, bring in images of other rugs that you like. Whether it’s from another rug outlet or just a pattern you saw online, you can show us what elements you like and what you don’t. This will help us narrow down the options we show you. You may find something completely different that you absolutely love, but this can provide an excellent starting point.
- A budget! Whenever you’re shopping for a piece of art or furniture, it is wise to have a price range in mind. What might surprise you is the range of pricing options available in our rug store. Let us know what your budget is and we can likely find a rug with a price that will fit!
